Parents/Caregivers
YMCA Early Years offers a variety of informal and formal educational opportunities for parents and caregivers. Along with our partner agencies we offer information on a variety of topics, delivered in various methods, at various times of the day and week to ensure accessibility for all families. Educational opportunities include workshops, seminars, and informal peer to peer conversations, as well learning tips and activities that support the continuance of learning at home.
Facilitators of workshops provide a wide range of content that encourages participants to make informed decisions and choices while developing their own parenting style. All information shared demonstrates a positive approach to parenting and behaviour management.
Professionals
The YMCA Early Years Centre not only offers programs and services for families with children 0-6 years but also to all community professionals working with children and families. As a community professional, you are encouraged to use the Early Years Centres to increase your own knowledge and participate in a variety of training and development opportunities. The Early Literacy Library and Early Literacy Specialist is a great resource for your work wtih families children.
